I’ve been dying to share these images from this fun and adventurous engagement shoot, I had way too many favorites to choose from (never a bad thing though). Ihla and Ian are from Fort Pierce and we had originally planned to do their engagement there when they were both home for the summer. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for us we got rained out and the only time we could reschedule they would already be back in Jacksonville for school. We began brainstorming a new plan and when Ihla suggested we meet in St. Augustine I was beyond excited. St. Augustine is one of those places where every time you turn around, every time you walk around the corner its something prettier than the last block. I love all the old doors and fun details of the city. We also ventured into a new park that was just filled with awesome Oak trees, and then we ended our session at the beach that had both the ocean and the intercoastal waterway. We spent the entire day getting extremely lucky not to get hit by the 60% chance of thunderstorms lurking around. Both times we left somewhere it either rained after we got in the car or as we were heading to our next location. This entire shoot was also done between 11-1pm which is otherwise known to photographers as the brightest, hottest, and worst time to shoot. Like I said we got sooooooo lucky and I am in so love with this whole session. Not to mention how adorable Ihla and Ian are with each other. From the minute they got out of the car they were total naturals in front of the camera, making each other laugh, and both with huge smiles on their faces. We explored the city, took a walk in the park, and ended with our feet in the sand at the beach … I’d say a day couldn’t get more perfect than that. Ihla and Ian thank you for trusting me and being so adventurous and total go-with-the-flow the entire day! I am sooooo excited to capture your beautiful wedding in Fort Pierce this June!
